Oh boy, was this a doozy. While Track 2 was fairly
easy to correct, the sheer length and complexity of this
was daunting. I removed the original drum track
because it was largley wrong. I hope to add them
sometime in the future, but that will likely take some
time. (I'm not a drummer, and Richard Christy's
technicality doesn't make it any easier). I'm not as sure
about some parts as I would like; the quality of the
demos renders some guitar notes hard to make out,
even with the song slowed down in Audcaity. These
questionable spots are marked in the tab. Also, the
solo's not mine; it came with the original tab, and
surprisingly, it's nearly perfect. Weird, considering how
dead wrong many of the riffs were.
This is by far one of Chuck's most complex songs, and
outside of Cosmic Sea and Voice Of The Soul, it may
be his most progressive composition. This also might
contain the greatest number of different riffs in any
song Chuck wrote, either for Death or Control Denied.
Funny to think this is the same man that wrote
Mutilation nearly 15 years before, huh? Even more
amazing is that Chuck was very ill at the time, and his
performance on these demos is, in my opinion, the
most transending and awesome of his career. Very
inspiring.
